Real Madrid have opened talks with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp over a potential move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
It is said that the Real board are not very happy with the recent results put out by Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season and the Italian coach could be given the axe ahead of the new campaign’s start.
According to a report from the Spanish publication El Nacional, it is claimed that Klopp is on the wishlist of the European champions Real who have gotten in touch with the German coach to consider taking over the reigns at the Bernabeu.
Klopp has endured his worst season at Liverpool since his arrival on Merseyside in October 2015 and there are rumours suggesting that he could be open to leaving the Reds at the end of the season to seek a new challenge elsewhere.
Liverpool’s plans for the summer, should Klopp stay put with the club’s board all but certain to back him for the top job, are likely to be centred on moving in for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.
