Chelsea are said to be growing frustrated in their attempts to retain Liverpool target Mason Mount beyond the expiry of his current deal in 2024.
There is a feeling amongst some in the Chelsea camp that the England playmaker Mount will not pen a new deal to commit his long term future in west London with the club yet to make a breakthrough in the drawn-out talks with the player.

According to a report from The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath, Mount could be heading out the exit door at Stamford Bridge sooner than expected following the 24-year-old rejecting Chelsea’s latest offer, deeming it below what other senior players are earning.
Liverpool have been credited with an interest in signing Mount with the Three Lions star emerging on the radar at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp looks to rebuild his squad over the summer after a miserable season so far domestically.
The midfield department is in dire need of reinforcements and Klopp could be convinced that Mount is a viable option to bolster his engine room with Liverpool facing a stern challenge in moving in for their long standing target Jude Bellingham.
