Chelsea are not willing to back down from challenging Liverpool for Jude Bellingham’s signature with the Blues still in the mix for the in-demand England midfielder.
Liverpool have been considered as frontrunners for the Borussia Dortmund talent who is certain to spark off a transfer war this summer between some of the biggest clubs across Europe.
Despite Chelsea spending over £600 million in the past two transfer windows on new signings and recognition within the camp that they are not the favourites to sign Bellingham, Graham Potter’s side remain keen on the 19-year-old.
According to a report from The Telegraph, it is claimed that Jurgen Klopp’s side, who will also have to fend off the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid, will face competition from domestic rivals Chelsea.
Klopp is tipped to push hard for signing Bellingham over the summer with the Liverpool manager in dire need of a fresh pair of legs to reinforce his underwhelming midfield roster heading into the next season.
