Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on the in-demand RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol with Jurgen Klopp looking to bolster his defence over the summer.
Many are awaiting a very busy summer at Anfield with the Liverpool boss Klopp certain to reinforce his squad in both defence and midfield after his side’s uncharacteristically underwhelming displays for the majority of this season.
Given Joel Matip’s misfortunes of late and his deputy Joe Gomez not impressing either, Liverpool could move in for another centre-back to provide Virgil van Dijk with a new partner in the heart of the Reds backline.
According to CBS Sport’s Ben Jacobs ( via The Liverpool Echo), RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol, who has courted interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City previously, is wanted by Liverpool which has been labelled as the “dream club” by the centre-back.
The 21-year-old is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League despite the European champions Real Madrid leading the chase to sign the Croatian international who enjoyed a terrific campaign at the World Cup last year.
