Barcelona could make a move for Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita who is all but certain to leave Jurgen Klopp’s side this coming summer when his contract expires.
Keita is in the final six months of his contract and with an exit from Anfield said to be on the cards for the former RB Leipzig man, Barcelona have emerged as contenders for his signature ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to a report from the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo ( via The Daily Express), it is claimed that Xavi’s side have identified Keita as one of several midfield targets that the club are considering signing.
Jurgen Klopp is not expected to stand in the player’s way should he make the decision to leave Liverpool as the former is on the search for a fresh pair of legs to revamp his engine room ahead of the next season’s start.
Borussia Dortmund sensation Jude Bellingham remains the top name on the shopping list for Klopp despite the intense competition amongst rival clubs and the hefty asking price it would take to land the England midfielder’s services.
