Liverpool have held talks with Jude Bellingham’s father ahead of this summer’s transfer window when the England midfielder is certain to be on the move.
Bellingham is all but likely to spark off a transfer war between some of Europe’s biggest clubs and Liverpool are considered as strong contenders to lure the Borussia Dortmund starlet to Anfield later this year.
According to a report from Caught Offside, it is claimed that Mark Bellingham, Jude’s father, and Liverpool have held ‘very concrete’ talks but the Reds are yet to table an offer for his son’s signature.
The rumour mill of late has suggested that Liverpool could be pipped to the coveted transfer of the 19-year-old Bellingham with Jurgen Klopp’s side facing an uphill task in qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
Moreover, the hefty asking price Dortmund would be seeking to allow Bellingham to leave over the summer would be another blow to Liverpool’s plans of signing the Three Lions star who is one of the most sought-after names in the market.
