Liverpool could renew their interest in signing Aurelien Tchouameni a year after they missed out on signing the promising French midfielder to Real Madrid.
Tchouameni was a top name on Jurgen Klopp’s shortlist of candidates to improve upon his midfield options last summer but the then AS Monaco starlet decided to snub interest from Merseyside to sign for the European champions Real.
The move to the Spanish capital, however, has not lived up to expectations for both parties involved and it said that Los Blancos are said to be considering the sale of the Frenchman due to his major wage demands despite being a bench player.
According to a report from El Nacional, it is claimed that the Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp remains keen on the idea of bringing in Tchouameni to bolster his engine room ahead of this summer’s transfer window when Real could be willing to the sale.
The Reds are in desperate need of reinforcements in the centre of the park and even though Jude Bellingham remains a priority target, signing the England midfielder will be far from an easy task for Liverpool considering the asking price involved.
