Manchester United to challenge Liverpool’s plans of signing Alexis Mac Allister

Manchester United are looking likely to challenge arch rivals Liverpool’s plans of signing Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton this summer.

The Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag is on the search for a central midfielder to bolster his squad before the next season gets underway and has the Argentine World Cup star Mac Allister on his shortlist of candidates.

According to a report from The Telegraph, it is claimed that Brighton duo Moisés Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister could be subject to serious interest from the United camp in the weeks to come with the current season heading into its final stages.

This would come as a blow to Liverpool who have been credited with an interest in signing Mac Allister as Jurgen Klopp looks to rebuild his engine room over the summer after his side’s torrid campaign this term.

Liverpool are certain to lose Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Arthur Melo at the end of the season and Klopp would be looking to bring in a couple of fresh faces in a major revamp of his midfield roster.
