According to Liverpool Echo, Greek full-back Kostas Tsimikas is expected to remain at Liverpool for the upcoming transfer window.
Tsimikas reportedly has no intention of leaving the club, and the Reds also want to extend his stay.
The 27-year-old joined Liverpool from Olympiacos in 2020 but has mainly served as a backup to Andrew Robertson, who is the preferred choice for the left-back position under Jurgen Klopp.
Robertson has established himself as the first-choice option for the position, excelling both defensively and offensively. Since joining the club from Hull City in 2017, he has developed into one of the top left-backs in the world.
Under Klopp’s management, Liverpool has experienced significant success, with the Scottish playing a key role alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold on the flanks.

Robertson is known for his defensive solidity and his ability to contribute to the attack by delivering excellent crosses and creating scoring opportunities for the team.
Meanwhile, Tsimikas has had limited opportunities at Liverpool and has primarily served as a backup. However, manager Jurgen Klopp has trusted the Greek international when needed.
During the 2022/23 season, Tsimikas made a significant contribution, featuring prominently at the beginning of the campaign before seeing his playing time reduced. He provided six assists in about 28 games across all competitions.

Tsimikas has proven to be a dependable squad player, and having strength in depth is crucial for a team aiming to compete for major titles.
Therefore, it would be wise for Liverpool to retain the services of the full-back for the time being.
