Lovren Asks Salah To Return To Liverpool On Cheeky Instagram Post

Liverpool central defender Dejan Lovren has taken to social media site Instagram to admit that he misses his best friend Mohamed Salah in Liverpool’s preseason training as a few of the squad players have already returned to Melwood to prepare for the next season.

Liverpool enjoyed a spectacular run in the Premier League as they recorded their best ever season in terms of a points tally since the club was formed back in 1892. Despite losing just one game across the whole English top-flight campaign, the Merseyside outfit finished in 2nd place, just one solitary point behind eventual champions Manchester City.

But Liverpool did taste success in the European continent as they were crowned as Champions League winners for the sixth time in their illustrious club history. One key member for Liverpool’s success in the elite tournament was Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah.

The 27-year-old star Liverpool forward scored a penalty in the final and also won the Golden Boot for the second time in two back to back seasons with Liverpool. However, Salah suffered heartbreak with his national side Egypt as they crashed out of the AFCON last week after a shock loss against South Africa.

Salah is now enjoying three weeks of holidays before returning to Liverpool for the preseason before the start of the new campaign. But Liverpool’s talisman is showing no real signs of taking a break as he posted a picture on his Instagram account that showed he is in the gym with a caption that read, “pre-pre-season”.

And Salah’s best friend at Liverpool, Dejan Lovren couldn’t help but express his feelings for Salah and replied with a cheeky comment by saying, “Ple-ple-please come back” on his verified account.

The Liverpool center-back has shared a really strong bond and relationship with Salah since the attacker joined the Reds in the summer of 2017. Salah will return back to training in a few weeks to join the rest of the Liverpool squad who have already begun the preseason training but the Anfield faithful will be echoing Lovren’s comments.
