Liverpool To Make A Move For Luis Guilherme of Palmeiras?

The Reds, alongside other well-known clubs in Europe, have manifested their attention to bring in Palmeiras’ young talent, prospering midfielder, Luis Guilherme.

 The 18-year-old central attacking midfielder has been obviously standing out in the Brazilian football, drawing the attention of seasoned football scouts from around the world. 

The rise of Guilherme to the first eleven has attracted attention, as he already has been on the field for 33 of Palmeiras games in Campeonato Brasileiro and Copa Libertadores.

He is getting such a praise that people consider him to be like the former Palmeiras graduates such as Gabriel Jesus who is at Arsenal and Endrick who is set to join Real Madrid, declaring his status as the future icon.

At this point, the club aware of the growing interest in their budding talent, fought for his future by signing the extension contract that will last till 2026, including a £47 millions clause for his transfer.

This move followed the news from the major clubs like Bayern Munich and Chelsea, who were at that stage considering making £30m bid.

Regardless of not having scored yet for Palmerias, the reality that Guilherme is a highly talented player is unmistakable, as this earned him a position in the under-20 squad after netting three goals in only four games of under-16 team.

What is the recent situation regarding Guilherme at Liverpool?

Guilherme, a left-footed playmaker, has been identified as a burgeoning No.10 with the ability to provide both form and creativity of attacking bypassing defences.

Palmerias’ youth director, Joao Paulo Sampaio, reflected on the situation and was very confident about the young player’s skills, recalling that in a tournament in Japan the player even scored over 40 goals.

Sampaio pointed out that Guilherme is well-tempered kid with a great judgement.

Being talented while realistic about his own skills is what makes him different from others.

Guilherme would be 18 years old at the time of the year when his birthday was February, being therefore allowed to move to Europe, like Endrick who was 16 when he was signed by Real Madrid.
