Liverpool FC is finally getting themselves ready for the 2024-25 season with a fresh home kit. This isn’t any ordinary kit; it brings a freshly exciting twist to the famous 1984 look. The shirt showcases a bright yellow design with the club’s motto, “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, making it stand out from the crowd.
The collar of the shirt is mesmerising and eye-catching with yellow and red touches that matches the iconic 1984 team collar. Under Joe Fagan, this team won the European Cup in Rome. The shirt and shorts have yellow and white sides, adding to the style.
But there’s more to it than just the look. The kit uses Dri-Fit ADV technology, so players keep cool and comfy during games. This fabric pulls sweat away to dry quickly.
The ad campaign for the kit is Rome-inspired, where the 1984 final was. It mixes football with high-end fashion, showing the jersey with fancy Italian-styled clothes. The campaign sets up a scene with an Italian classic feel, featuring plaster-like walls, floors that look like marble, and fancy chairs.
Virgil van Dijk, the lead player of the men’s team, is thrilled about the new outfit, loving its old-school feel and its tribute to the club’s winning 1984 team. Taylor Hinds, the second-in-command of LFC Women, is also eager to wear the new outfit, feeling it links them to the club’s long history.
In step with LFC’s green plan, “The Red Way”, the kit is made in a planet-friendly way. Both the game and fan shirts are crafted from 100% reused polyester fabric, made from old plastic bottles. This effort is part of Nike’s broader “Move to Zero” mission, pushing forward in eco-friendly sports gear.
The shirt’s back shows off the club’s name and number style, drawn from Liverpool’s old street signs. These are printed with water-based inks, a choice better for the earth. Fans can add Premier League or Barclays Women’s Super League names and numbers to their shirts.
As an extra perk, LFC gives a 10% off on the home shirt to all LFC Official Members, season pass owners, UK frontline workers, and students. The new LFC home Anthem Jacket and the black goalie shirt are also up for grabs.
May 16 is the day when the club’s 2024-25 lifestyle as well as home training collection will finally be launched. So, get ready to welcome this new season with this exciting and brand new kit!
