Liverpool star Roberto Firmino became the first ever Brazilian player to score 50 goals in the Premier League after his goal against Burnley at Turf Moor in a 3-0 win for the Reds.
It took 141 appearances for the Firmino to reach his half century, having first netted in his 13th outing, a 4-1 win at Manchester City back in November 2015.
Since arriving at Anfield from Hoffenheim in a £29million deal, the striker has found a home in between Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah at the heart of Liverpool’s attack.
Firmino’s most prolific season came in 2017/18 campaign when he scored 15 goals in the Premier League with a further 12 coming in other competitions.
There have been a number of Brazilians that have reached double figures in the Premier League but only Philippe Coutinho, who left Liverpool in January 2018 for La Liga giants Barcelona with 41 goals in 152 appearances, is close to Firmino’s tally.
Middlesbrough star Juninho registered 29 times during his two spells on Teesside. But sniffing around with intent is another young Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus, who has taken only 70 matches to reach his total of 28 goals for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Completing the top five is Chelsea attacker Willian, on 28 goals as well but from 201 appearances which is quite a poor ration in comparison to the rest in the South American clan.
