Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp saluted his players after adding the Premier League Manager of the Month award to the long-term Liverpool contract extension he signed on Friday as well as Sadio Mane winning the November Player of the Month award.
The German manager claimed the prize for the third time already this season in a quick reminder of why the Reds handed him a deal running until the summer of 2024.
Klopp guided the Champions League winners to four successive victories in November, including a crucial 3-1 win over title rivals Manchester City in an extremely productive month.
And the Reds now sit eight points clear at the summit of the table ahead of second-placed Leicester City after 16 matches, with current Premier League champions Manchester City, 14 points behind the leaders.
Klopp acknowledged the award and spoke out on the incredible run so far, “It feels really good, but I don’t take it personally. My players are responsible for that, obviously, because they have so far played an outstanding season.”
Liverpool’s most prolific player this season has been Senegalese superstar Sadio Mane as the 27-year-old was named as November’s Player of the Month. The Reds winger found the back of the net three times and also registered one assist taking his tally to nine goals and four assists in 15 outings so far in the Premier League.
Mane’s incredible surge has taken Liverpool to the top of the table as Klopp’s unit is keen on ending their 30-year streak without a Premier League title.
