Spurs defeat to Liverpool add to the number of teams Liverpool have beaten as they tightened their grip on the Premier League perhaps with a German (Klopp) rope.
It proved to be a futile outcome for rival side Leicester City and Manchester City who may have an iota of hope of a chance in the title race all in the trend of optimism.
However all side attraction were quashed as Jürgen Klopp empowered his side with a win.
Following the win, we take a look at some critical lessons from the game.
1. Liverpool Emulating Arsenal
This phrase may not be for now as both sides (Liverpool and Arsenal) are having a contrasting season with the Reds on the positive.
This is unlike Arsenal and Mikel Arteta as they drew 1-1 with host Crystal Palace more as goal scorer (for Arsenal) in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang picked up a red (card) in the game.
However, as history is concerned (relative) with respect to Arsenal title winning side known as the invincible, the Liverpool side may well be riding on that same trajectory.
The Arsenal invincible was undefeated in the run to the League triumph during the 2004/2005 season and Liverpool look to be doing the same with the win against Spurs.
2. Liverpool A Step Closer
The win against Spurs was a strengthening point for the club as they consolidated their place and point haul at the top of the League standings.
This is the message made clear by the Reds as regards to the title irrespective of Leicester City defeat to the Saints (Southampton side).
Whatever City did achieve against Aston Villa on the road will be an added incentive for other competition as Klopp and Liverpool are walking their way into Premier League glory in the campaign.
3. The Reds Telling A Story
The clubs would be delighted with the outcome of the clash against Spurs as they overcome the home side (Tottenham Hotspur) even with a clean sheet.
Roberto Firmino ensured the win in the 36th minutes as his solitary strike proved the difference between both sides.
Spurs might have had their chance but Liverpool’s story and agenda cannot be hidden from the score line (0-1) more as Liverpool’s League position portrays all the match enumerations from the Premier League in this season.
