Former Liverpool star Jan Molby has admitted that Jurgen Klopp’s current outfit has no weaknesses and hailed the 2019-20 class as one the best ever teams to grace the Premier League.
The Merseyside giants are currently 22 points clear at the top of the English table ahead of 2nd placed Manchester City and the Reds look destined to win their first title in 30 years. Still unbeaten in the Premier League this campaign, Liverpool have had an astonishing 12 months in which they have managed to clinch the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup as well as the Club World Cup.
Liverpool is also on course to defend their European crown and has progressed through to the next round of the FA Cup. It’s all going absolutely brilliantly for the Liverpool faithful with the dominance absolutely astounding.
The last term, Liverpool fell short of the title against Manchester City by just one solitary point but has been relentless in securing domestic glory in this campaign. But ex-Danish star Jan Molby explained that the current crop of Liverpool stars can go down as one of the greatest ever.
The 56-year-old won three titles with Liverpool during his playing days and told Express Sport, “This team will go down in history not just as a great Liverpool team, but in the big scheme of things as one of the best football teams we have ever seen. I have no doubt that. This is a side with no weaknesses. You get nothing cheap against this Liverpool team. There are no defensive errors. There are no cheap goals conceded from set-pieces. Everything you get you to have to earn. So, it does now seem like a case of your beaten before the first whistle blows.”
