3 Players That Hindered Jürgen Klopp Celebrations At Some Points As A Manager

Jürgen Klopp is one of the hardworking managers as we have seen from his teams’ performance coupled with his celebrations and passion for the game.

He has explored all ends in becoming one of the best hands in the coaching job as he signed to take up Liverpool vacant job role in 2016.

During his time as manager of Liverpool FC, he had produced a master class in the dugout. But there are teams that stopped him from finishing the job he duly started in the first instance.

While we acknowledge these teams, we take a look at the players that played a role in ensuring that Jürgen Klopp’s side finished as second-best on some occasion.

3. ARJEN ROBBEN

The Dutch serial winner was at his usual best mesmerizing opposing defence as the Bayern Munich side locked horns with Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League final.

Despite all the efforts that the Dortmund side made in reaching the finals of the competition thus prevailing against Real Madrid in the semi-finals, they were unable to win the title.

This was due to the extraordinary game Robben produced at the Wembley Stadium which halted Klopp and his side’s dream of been crowned European Champions at the highest level.

2. RIYAD MAHREZ

The Algerian international scored the decisive goal that got Manchester City set for celebration as they defeated host Brighton and Hove Albion away from home.

While Liverpool was coasting home with a 2-0 win over Wolves at home Mahrez struck to ensure it finished 1-3 in favour of the Citizens. This confirmed Pep Guardiola and his side as English Champions for last season (2018/2019) despite the brace scored by Sadio Mane in the match against Wolves.

It ensured that Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool had to wait for another season (year) as they are set to be crowned Premier League Champions amid Corona Virus’ decision for the English title.
