Jadon Sancho believed to be wanting a move to Liverpool over Manchester United

According to reports, Jadon Sancho has set his heart on a move to Anfield following an exit from Borussia Dortmund. The English winger has been widely tipped to leave the Bundesliga side ahead of the start of the 2020-21 season.

However, amid rumors concerning his exit from Dortmund, Manchester United are being considered the frontrunners to land Sancho’s signature this summer. The Red Devils are believed to be extremely keen bringing the 20-year old to Old Trafford.

The asking price demanded by Dortmund, however, is causing a halt in negotiations between the two sets of sides. A transfer fee worth €120 million is being stuck to by the German club, despite repeated attempts by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to negotiate a cheaper price.

Recent reports now indicate Sancho’s eagerness of signing for the Premier League champions Liverpool FC rather than secure a move to Old Trafford. The English international is known to be a huge admirer of the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp. And the 20-year old attacker would relish the opportunity of playing under the German coach at Anfield.

Moreover, Sancho is believed to be preferring a move to Merseyside due to a better chance of winning silverware. The former Manchester City starlet feels that he would be able to win more trophies at the Reds as opposed to playing for Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were initially reported to be interested in signing the Dortmund star last summer. However, since then, a number of top clubs have entered the fray to secure Sancho’s signing. Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain are some other sides who have registered firm interest in making a move for the 20-year old winger.

Making an approach for Sancho, however, does not seem to materialize with Liverpool FC’s recent situation. The Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has boldly asserted that his club would not make any big-money signings this summer. Hence, Sancho’s €120 million price-tag makes him an impossible transfer to be secured by the Merseyside club.
