FC Barcelona defender reserves high praise for Mohammad Salah and Sadio Mane

Liverpool FC ace Mohammad Salah has garnered huge praise from FC Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet in a recent interview. The Frenchman has labeled Salah to be one of the best wingers in world football at the moment.

The Egyptian’s club teammate Sadio Mane’s quality on the pitch too was appreciated by the 25-year old Lenglet. Both Salah and Mane, with their showings for the Reds in recent seasons, have rightly established their credentials as fearsome attackers for any opposition in the world.

“Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah are two explosive players who complement Roberto Firmino very well, as he creates spaces for the other two”.

The 28-year old Salah finished the 2019-20 Premier League title-winning season for the Merseyside Reds as their top goalscorer. The Egyptian’s 19 goals in the recently concluded league campaign were narrowly matched by Mane’s tally of 16.

The FC Barcelona center-back stated that the rapid pace of both Liverpool FC wingers allowed Roberto Firmino, the final part of the Reds’ famed attacking trio, to adjust well in his role on the pitch.

Besides reserving praise for the two Liverpool FC stars, Lenglet also termed Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandowski to be a very skillful forward. Furthermore, former Premier League star Romelu Lukaku, who now plays for Inter Milan, was noted for his sheer strength by the French international.

“Lewandowski is a very skilful forward, very good in front of goal and inside the area. He’s also very physical and you have to be very attentive at all times since he can make a difference. Lukaku is very difficult to defend against because he’s a big player and very strong. I prefer not to be too close to him to prevent him from turning me.”
