In a video posted by Liverpool FC on the club’s official Instagram page, the Reds’ number one Alisson Becker is seen making an astonishing save from a shot by teammate Virgil van Dijk. The video clip however seems to be from a while ago as spectators can be seen in the stands at Anfield.
In what appears to be a pre-game training routine, the Brazilian goalkeeper is seen walking towards the goalpost. However, Van Dijk takes a cheeky shot behind Alisson’s beck, hoping to lob the ball over his teammate’s head into the back of the net.
However, a split second after turning to face the front of the goal, Alisson is able to see the ball approaching him and leaps to tip it over the post. Van Dijk could only smile at his teammate’s superb reflexes between the sticks.
Liverpool FC supporters wasted no time in boasting about their club’s shot-stopper being the very best in his position in world football. Numerous comments on the Instagram video clip posted by the Reds mentioned Alisson to be the finest goalkeeping talent in the Premier League.
Also seen in the frame are Mohammad Salah and Gini Wijnaldum, both stars of the 2019-20 league title-winning campaign for the Merseyside Reds.
