Major change in Liverpool’s pre-season training plans revealed

In a surprising turn of developments, Liverpool FC have scrapped plans of hosting their pre-season training camp in Evian. Instead, the Premier League champions will head to Austria to prepare for their upcoming 2020-21 season, according to reports.

The Merseyside club’s decision to abandon their traditional routine of organizing their training base in the Southern French district of Evian stems from the United Kingdom government’s recent decision to add France to the COVID-19 quarantine list.

Moreover, recent speculation indicates that the Liverpool FC first-team squad is set to report back to the club’s training facility Melwood by 15th August. The Reds are due to face Arsenal in the annual FA Community Shield clash scheduled to be held on 29th August.

Almost all of the Premier League title-winning squad members of the Merseyside giants will return to Melwood shortly. The players have enjoyed a relatively short break away from action following their spectacular 2019-20 league campaign.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will be looking forward to ensuring a strong start upon the Premier League’s restart scheduled for 12th September. The Reds will be defending their league title crown for the first in time in 30 years.
