Jurgen Klopp has received huge support as Liverpool legend and Al-Qadsiah manager Robbie Fowler doesn’t want to pursue a move for Red’s star Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool’s transfer strategies have suffered severe setbacks due to the influence of Gulf State clubs during the current season.
Captain Jordan Henderson’s departure from Anfield to join Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq in a £12 million agreement is among these notable examples.
The series of departures continued with Fabinho swiftly joining Saudi champions Al-Ittihad. The possibility of further exits looms in the weeks ahead as the transfer window approaches its closure.
Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker is a target for Al Nassr, although Klopp remains resolute that the ex-Roma player won’t be sold this season.
Among the latest to be linked with a move is star forward Salah. Fowler, the iconic Liverpool figure and manager of Saudi team Al-Qadsiah, wants the Egyptian star to stay at Anfield this summer.
In a talkSPORT interview, he gave his views on the transfer saying:
“I’ll put in a word for him to stay. I want him to stay at Liverpool. But good players will always get linked here because this country and this Pro League wants good players and that’s the simplicity of it.”
Henderson, one of the players making the move to Saudi Arabia this summer, had a decent start to life with his new team.
Despite his Ettifaq side conceding an early goal to former Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane, who made his inaugural league appearance for Al-Nassr, they orchestrated a noteworthy comeback through Quaison and Moussa Dembele.

Fabinho’s Al-Ittihad also started their title defence on a strong note, winning 3-0 against Al-Raed in an away match. The Brazilian midfielder featured in the starting lineup and was substituted only in the latter stages of the game.
