Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been lauded as an “unbelievable” by right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who hailed the German’s heart-on-the-sleeve approach.
Since making his debut under Klopp back in 2016, Alexander-Arnold has developed into one of Liverpool’s key components over the past three and a half seasons cementing his place in the starting lineup. The 21-year-old defender has appeared in every Premier League game for Liverpool so far this campaign, with the Reds leading the table by 25 points, though there will be no football played at least until at least April 30 in the English top-flight due to the coronavirus pandemic.
While it remains to be seen when the season will be continued or not, Alexander-Arnold has spoken highly of Klopp in glowing terms, as the former Borussia Dortmund coach has taken Liverpool to last season’s Champions League triumph and to within two wins of their first Premier League title in 30 years.
When asked about the 52-year-old Jurgen Klopp, Trent Alexander-Arnold revealed that the Liverpool boss is simply, “Unbelievable, Just everything about him in every way. His man-management, as a person, as a manager. Just unbelievable.”
Alexander Arnold was then asked if Klopp was the same person off-camera as, on it, the Liverpool defender responded by stating, “He’s the same person because I feel as though in those interviews when you see him on the camera, you can see that he’s a loving person. You can see that he’s someone who cares about the people around him. He cares about his family, he cares about his players, he cares about his staff.”
Alexander Arnold has grown immensely as a player and matured into a star performer for Liverpool over the past few seasons. His meteoric rise has displayed 15 assists in all competitions so far this season with two goals as well to his name.
