Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos has stated that he had never seen anything like the way Liverpool play their football after the game at Anfield earlier this season.
The 23-year-old Ceballos arrived at Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid and enjoyed quite a brilliant start to his career in England in the first two games of the season. However, the Spaniard got a taste of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on the third Matchday of the season and admitted that he was left bamboozled following the high pressing game that the Merseyside outfit plays.
Joel Matip put Liverpool in the lead just before half time and Mohamed Salah secured the three points for Liverpool with a second half brace handing Arsenal their first defeat of the campaign. And Spanish midfielder Ceballos explained that Liverpool’s high pressing was something he had never seen before as he was subbed off just after an hour at Anfield.
The game ended 3-1 and Liverpool are still yet to break their 100 percent win record this season as they sit at the summit of the English Premier League table.
While speaking in a recent interview, Ceballos spoke very highly of Liverpool and their game style, “I’ve never seen anything like what I saw at Anfield. I haven’t seen a team that plays better, that presses like them, the way the fans carry them along. They take the air from you. You spend so much time defending and when you want to do something with the ball when you want to breathe, they’re back on top of you. They’re very well-drilled.”
Ceballos was then dropped for the following game against North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur but came off the bench to help his team earn a crucial point.
