Arsenal vs Liverpool Predicted Lineup and Preview | EPL 19-20

On a mission to set the new points record total in Premier League history, Liverpool FC visits the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night to face Arsenal FC. Jurgen Klopp’s side would be hoping to bounce back to winning ways following their stalemate against Burnley last week.

The draw recorded by the Reds against the Clarets ended the Premier League champion’s 24-game winning streak at Anfield. The Reds did not appear to be on their best form against Burnley last week, with many goalscoring chances falling the way of Liverpool FC players going to waste.

It can be said without any uncertainty that Jurgen Klopp’s side has faltered in recent times. The Liverpool FC squad that was tipped for an unbeaten season considering their mid-season form,  have since then been subjected to two humiliating defeats against Watford and Manchester City respectively.

Arsenal, on the other hand, will play hosts to the Reds following a defeat to their arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspurs in the recent North London derby. The Gunners lost 2-1 to Jose Mourinho’s side on their visit to the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping that his side does manage to switch gears following their recent defeat when Liverpool FC takes the pitch on Wednesday. The Reds have looked dangerous on all fronts throughout the season and the Gunners would surely be wary of the threat imposed by the Reds’ front three of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, and Mohammad Salah.

TEAM NEWS

The hosts will be without youngster Eddie Nketiah as the striker serves the second of his three game suspension. The 21-year old had been shown the red card for his rash tackle on Leicester City defender James Justin in the game between the two sides last week.

Also missing in action for Arsenal would be French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi following his altercation with Arteta. First-choice goalkeeper Bernd Leno and center-back’s Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers have all been sidelined for the remainder of the current season.

The Reds will be without skipper Jordan Henderson and the highly-rated Joel Matip, both of whom have been ruled out for the remaining fixtures with injuries. Liverpool FC, however, does not have any fresh injury or suspension concerns.

Jurgen Klopp had chosen to rotate his squad heavily last week when the Reds faced Burnley at Anfield. The Liverpool FC boss had given starts to teenagers Curtis Jones and Neco Williams, benching Naby Keita and Trent Alexander Arnold in the process.

It remains to be seen whether Klopp will make similar sort of squad-rotation changes to his starting lineup when the Reds go up against Arsenal.
