Championship side Barnsley have entered pole position to land Herbie Kane’s signature, the young Liverpool FC midfielder, according to reports from the Yorkshire Post.
The 21-year old looks highly likely to depart the Reds on yet another loan move as he has done so in recent seasons, with spells at Hull City and Doncaster Rovers getting Kane some much-needed first-team action, something that he has not been able to get while playing for the Merseyside giants.
Kane’ showings in the centre of the park for Doncaster Rovers earned him plaudits across the League One, and he was even named in the League One Team of the Season. The player looks set to continue upon his encouraging run of form of late with a spell at Barnsley being tipped to be a near certainty before Friday’s deadline.
With Jurgen Klopp’s senior squad full of first-team regulars in the midfield department, and Thiago Alcantara’s arrival this summer being another addition to the same, Herbie Kane’s prospects in the Liverpool FC shirt looks to be a rather timid possibility in the coming years.
