Bayern Munich to challenge Liverpool’s plans of signing Mason Mount

Bayern Munich are looking set to challenge Liverpool’s plans of signing Mason Mount this summer with the race heating up to land the England midfielder.

The Bavarian giants have hired Mount’s former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel as the new man in the dugout and Tuchel could be looking to reunite with Mount who was one of his best performers at Stamford Bridge.

According to a report from The Times, it is claimed that Bayern are keeping a close eye on the 24-year-old’s situation in the English capital with the Bundesliga outfit keen to make an approach for his services come the summer.

This could mean that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have new competition on the block as the Reds were previously reported to be the frontrunners to sign Mount with the Englishman open to leaving Chelsea after failing to agree upon a new long term deal.

He has just over a year left on his current terms at the Bridge and talks have stalled over a new contract with Chelsea unwilling to cede to the player’s demands of a major hike in wages.
