Bayern Munich unwilling to make a move for Gini Wijnaldum

Gini Wijnaldum is not seen as a viable addition at Allianz Arena by Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich as the Liverpool FC first-teamer seeks to exit the Merseysiders this summer.

Reports from German news outlet Abendzeitung claim that Bayern Munich have downplayed the opportunity to bring in the 30-year-old Wijnaldum with issues arising due to the midfielder’s contract demands.

Reason behind Bayern’s reluctance to sign Wijnaldum revealed

The UEFA Champions League holders have identified German talent Florian Neuhaus as their preferred option to bring in this summer rather than the Liverpool FC man Wijnaldum.

Neuhaus who has been a target for Jurgen Klopp’s outfit too has been one of the best performers in Bundesliga action over the past couple of years turning out for Borussia Monchengladbach.

Would the Dutchman end up staying put at Anfield beyond the summer?

Reports since the turn of the year have indicated that Wijnaldum is increasingly certain to head out the exit door at Anfield ahead of the next season with his current deal coming to a close in the summer and La Liga heavyweights FC Barcelona in the running to land his signature.

What remains to be seen is whether Jurgen Klopp proves successful in a last-ditch attempt to convince his midfield star on extending his stay in the Liverpool FC colours as the Merseyside club seeks to renew their title-winning credentials in the forthcoming top-flight campaign.
