BBC pundit Clint Morrison did not mince any words when asked to speak about Sadio Mane’s rather lacklustre display against Atalanta in the mid-week Champions League fixture, with Morrison saying that the Liverpool FC star forward was far off his usual best in his attacking efforts.
Mane was a part of the Reds attacking trio alongside Divock Origi and the returning Mohammad Salah in Wednesday night’s game at Anfield that finished 2-0 in favour of the visitors Atalanta.
The Senegalese international was sloppy when going forward, and gave the ball away to the Serie A opponents on a number of occasions, something that was pointed out by Morrison in his post-game analysis.
“Sadio Mane has been well off it,” said Morrison while speaking to BBC Radio 5, as quoted by the Express.
“Something’s not right. I’ve never seen Sadio Mane give the ball away as much as he has tonight.
“I’m one of his biggest fans but he’s been really sloppy.
