Benfica are demanding a hefty asking price for Liverpool target Enzo Fernandez who has emerged as a name on the radar of several clubs across Europe.
The Argentina international has impressed many with his showings in the centre of the park and has courted interest from Liverpool with the Premier League giants on the hunt for reinforcements to bolster their engine room.
According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, Fernandez has an eyewatering £105 million release clause in his contract with Benfica in line to pocket a huge sum from his sale after signing him for just £15.5 million in the summer.
Liverpool’s midfield roster has come under much fire this season for the recurring injury troubles that have sidelined Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain coupled with the inconsistent form shown by key regulars.
Moreover, both Keita and Chamberlain along with James Milner are out of contract at Anfield at the end of the season which is expected to force Jurgen Klopp to dip into the market for fresh blood.
