According to the latest reports, Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is keen on moving away from the Merseyside club in the January transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool is currently unbeaten in the Premier League and the high-flying Reds are sitting 2nd on the Premier League table, joint top with leaders Manchester City on points. The Merseyside giants are also top of their Champions’ League group in a tricky group with Napoli and Paris Saint Germain as well.
All seemed fine for Liverpool until this recent blow by given by Brazilian midfielder Fabinho. The 25-year-old arrived at Anfield as the first summer signing from Ligue 1 club AS Monaco for a transfer fee of £43.7 million and there was a massive hype around his arrival. But things haven’t really gone according to plan for Fabinho as the powerful midfielder has made just three starts across all competitions for Liverpool.
Klopp has preferred to use the likes of Naby Keita, James Milner, Jordan Henderson, and even Georginio Wijnaldum ahead of Fabinho. Although Fabinho was given his first start under Klopp against Chelsea in the League Cup, Liverpool suffered defeat and elimination at the hands of the Blues.
This lack of game time at Liverpool has got Fabinho feeling rather ‘bored’ and he wants a move away from the club in the January transfer window itself.
Liverpool beat the likes of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain to Fabinho’s signature but the Reds may have to offload the midfielder as he hasn’t really managed to cement his place in Klopp’s first team.
A move back to the Ligue 1 beckons as French champions Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring Fabinho’s situation at Liverpool. Fabinho has already won the Ligue 1 title with AS Monaco and his former club didn’t want to sell their prized asset to their direct rivals. But Paris may finally get their man from Liverpool if the English giants decide to let Fabinho leave in the winter.
Reports claim that Fabinho tried his best on his part to win over the Anfield crowd as well but he is still ‘bored’ at the lack of football.
