Borussia Dortmund have registered an interest in signing Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita as the German side looks to bring in a replacement for expected summer departure Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham is subject to interest from some of the biggest clubs across Europe and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are amongst them vying for the 19-year-old’s signature ahead of this summer.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, it is claimed that Dortmund have identified Keita as a potential target for the upcoming transfer window with the former RB Leipzig star free to sign a pre-contract agreement with an overseas club.
Keita has entered the final months of his current terms at Anfield with the midfielder out of contract at the end of the season and likely to head into free agency with Liverpool willing to allow him to leave and look for a fresh pair of legs for the engine room.
With Bellingham certain to leave the Dortmund camp for a fresh challenge elsewhere, the Bundesliga outfit have been forced in a search for a new midfield recruit to bolster their squad for the next season.
