Bournemouth Prepared To Sign Harry Wilson On Loan

The latest reports have claimed that Premier League giants Liverpool are prepared to offload star forward Harry Wilson on a season long loan to Bournemouth.

Wilson was extremely impressive last season on loan under Frank Lampard’s guidance at Derby County and almost helped the Rams to Premier League promotion. The star winger also featured heavily for Liverpool in the preseason but with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino leading the front line, it’s unlikely that Wilson will get a chance to prove himself at the Merseyside club.

The 22-year-old has a gifted left foot and scored 16 goals and notched up four assists as well for Derby in the Championship last term and not playing such a talented youngster would be a shame. Therefore, Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool were keen on selling Wilson rather than let his ability waste on the bench.

Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth were keen admirers of Wilson and are keen on bringing the Welsh star to the Vitality stadium over the summer. The Reds are prepared to sell Wilson if their £25 million valuations of the attacker is matched but Bournemouth is unable to cough up the transfer funds.

Instead, the Cherries are looking to negotiate a deal for Wilson over the summer on a season long loan. Klopp still believes that Wilson could a player he could develop for the long term and is not interested in offering the Cherries an option to buy the player.

However, it would make sense to send Wilson on loan so that he can get regular football and improve over the course of the season to become a great player for Liverpool in the future. Aston Villa and Newcastle were also showing interest in Wilson but nothing solid ever really materialized. Derby was also keen on resigning Wilson but another season in the Championship would not do him a world of good.
