Brighton hope to ward off Liverpool’s interest in midfield talent Moises Caicedo

Brighton are hoping to ward off Liverpool’s interest in midfield talent Moises Caicedo by tabling a new long-term deal for the Ecuadorian, according to a report from The Daily Mirror.

Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders are one amongst several top clubs across England credited with a strong interest in moving in for the 20-year-old Caicedo following his impressive run of form at the Amex.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea, with Graham Potter being appointed as the new manager at the latter, are the other sides hoping to land Caicedo’s signature in the forthcoming transfer windows.

The Seagulls, however, have set plans in motion to sit down and discuss a new deal with their in-demand starlet and offer him a lucrative pay package in line with the other first-teamers in the Brighton camp.

Caicedo’s current terms with Brighton are not due to expire until the summer of 2025 but the club are prepared to table an extension to ensure that the aforementioned Premier League bigwigs set sights on other names in the transfer market.
