Attempting to set a new record for the maximum points in a Premier League season, Liverpool FC will travel to the Amex Stadium to face Brighton. The Premier League champions are fresh off a 2-0 victory against basement side Aston Villa and would look to achieve a similar sort of result against the Seagulls.
Jurgen Klopp’s side continued their Premier League winning streak at Anfield last week against Villa with late goals from Sadio Mane and Curtis Jones. However, the Reds did not look their usual best in the game barring a few good chances.
Liverpool FC’s recent away record has been nothing short of horrific, considering how well the champions of England have performed throughout the season. Jurgen Klopp’s side have been subjected to four losses and a draw in their last five fixtures on the road. This is certainly not a record the Reds would be wanting to carry on in their upcoming travels away from home.
Brighton’s last game turned out to be narrow 1-0 victory away at Carrow Road against fellow basement side Norwich City. The win allowed Graham Potter’s side to climb up to the 15th position in the Premier League table, nine points above the relegation zone.

TEAM NEWS
Brighton will be without winger Jose Izquierdo amongst their ranks, with the Columbian having been sidelined due to a knee injury. Izquierdo has missed the entire season so far and is currently in rehab back in his homeland.
Also being sidelined for the game against the Reds will be Steven Alzate who is recovering from a groin injury sustained earlier.
Graham Potter does not have any other injury concerns in his Brighton squad and should be able to call upon his best players to steal an unlikely win against the newly crowned Premier League champions.
As for the visitors, Jurgen Klopp could call upon James Milner who has recovered from his earlier hamstring issue. However, the Liverpool FC boss had stated that he would not take unnecessary risks over the 34-year old Milner’s fitness.
Joel Matip remains sidelined for the remainder of the season as confirmed earlier by Liverpool FC. Having missed the two previous fixtures, Croatian center-back Dejan Lovren is doubtful for the Reds’ trip to Brighton having suffered a knock.
Klopp is expected to field a full-strength starting lineup for the Reds, having made some changes in last week’s game at Anfield against Aston Villa.
