Burnley, Fiorentina and Atalanta are set to battle it for Liverpool striker Divock Origi with a three-way contest underway ahead of Monday’s deadline day.
Origi’s future at Anfield has continued to draw much speculation since the turn of the year and in the final hours of the January transfer window, Liverpool could be forced to cash in on the 26-year-old, according to reports from The Sun.
The Belgium international looks certain to fall down the pecking order further with the arrival of Luis Diaz at Liverpool who have forked a hefty fee to land Jurgen Klopp’s longstanding target from FC Porto.
Eyeing up Origi’s signature are Serie A duo Fiorentina and Atalanta and Premier League side Burnley with the latter on the lookout for reinforcements in the final third after Wout Weghorst’s expected move has hit a roadblock.
Wout Weghorst is hopeful of landing the Dutch forward from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg subject to obtaining a work permit but Origi’s name is rumoured to be on the wishlist for the Turf Moor outfit.
