Championship star could end up signing for Liverpool this summer

Norwich City, who suffered relegation to the Championship following the conclusion of the 2019-20 Premier League campaign, are reportedly open to sanctioning the sale of the highly-rated Todd Cantwell, a player who has been linked with a move to Liverpool FC in the past on a number of occasions.

The England U21 international wowed critics with his displays over the course of last season, despite Norwich being a regular fixture in the bottom half of the table through the entire 38-game league campaign.

According to reports, due to the Canaries’ relegation, the club is bound to incur a substantial loss in revenue. As a result, Cantwell’s sale this summer does make sense in the financial aspect of things for Norwich, with the midfielder being a target for a host of top-flight sides across England.

With the ongoing transfer window not closing down until the first week of October, Jurgen Klopp does have ample time at his hands to make a move for the 22-year old Cantwell should the Reds’ boss deem the player to be a suitable addition to the Anfield outfit’s first-team squad.
