Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has voiced huge praise for Mohamed Salah who he believes is one of the best players in world football.
Salah has been at his brilliant best this season for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool with the Egyptian netting 22 goals in 25 outings across all competitions as the Merseysiders push for reclaiming Premier League glory.
Despite the talk rife over the 29-year-old future at Anfield beyond the next summer, Salah has continued to maintain a stellar run of form in the final third as Klopp attempts to tie down his talisman to renewed terms.
Ahead of Liverpool going up next against title rivals Chelsea in league action, the Blues maestro Mason Mount paid a rich tribute to Salah by labelling the latter a big-game player with an eye for finding the back of the net.
Speaking to Amazon Prime Sport ( via The Liverpool Echo), Mount admitted that the Liverpool star forward was right up there in the list of the best players in world football on the back of his recent displays.
“There’s a few, I think, that you can put out there, but I think the amount of goals he’s scoring, the assists he’s getting, I think Mo Salah would definitely be up there.
“He’s a big, big player who turns up in the big games and scores big goals. He’s setting the bar very, very high and I think as a player you want to be able to do that.
“He’s setting the bar very very high at the moment.”
