Jurgen Klopp opts to bring in the under-fire Roberto Firmino in place of Diogo Jota as the Reds make the travels to North London to face off against Arsenal in the much-anticipated Premier League clash.
Another change in the XI that emerged victors over Wolves last time around is Gini Wijnaldum dropping down to the bench with James Milner taking the Dutchman’s spot in the centre of the park.
Klopp, however, goes ahead with his defensive core unchanged as Nat Phillips partners Ozan Kabak at centre-back with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson occupying the full-back roles out wide.
The incoming James Milner will be paired alongside Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara with much focus on the latter to hit the ground running after coming under the scanner of late for his timid run of form for his new side.
Firmino’s inclusion in the XI is bound to confuse many considering the fact that the Brazil international had been injured three games prior to the international break and Diogo Jota enjoyed a superb spell in front of the goal for Portugal over the last couple of weeks.
Here is how both teams line up for today’s Premier League fixture:
