Sadio Mane and Naby Keita are the notable returnees to the Liverpool XI for the midweek outing away at Benfica in the Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp also brings in Ibrahima Konate to replace Joel Matip while full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is back from his recent spell on the sidelines.
Arnold and Konate handed starting roles
Arnold’s return comes as a welcome boost for Liverpool who had Joe Gomez deputising in the right-back slot last time around in the 2-0 win over Watford.
Joel Matip is given some well-earned rest with the young Frenchman Ibrahima Konate earing a recall into the XI to partner Virgil van Dijk in the heart of the backline.
Diaz and Mane join the attacking ranks
Curtis Jones drops out of the midfield and so does the skipper Jordan Henderson with Fabinho and Naby Keita handed starting berths in the centre of the park for the visitors.
Up top on the pitch, it is Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino making way for the inclusion of Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz to join Mohamed Salah.
