Gini Wijnaldum returns to the centre of the park for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp’s side gear up to face Burnley in the penultimate match of the Premier League season for last season’s champions.
Wijnaldum’s inclusion in the XI means it is Curtis Jones that drops out of the Reds side that emerged dramatic victors last time around at West Brom.
Klopp makes no changes to his eleven barring Wijnaldum’s return
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp goes ahead with an unchanged starting eleven barring the return of Gini Wijnaldum to the midfield with Klopp still not able to call upon the services of Ozan Kabak due to the Turk’s injury.
Filling Kabak’s void at centre-back is Rhys Williams who gets his third straight start in Premier League football besides Nat Phillips with Fabinho preferred to operate in his usual holding role.
James Milner and Oxlade-Chamberlain feature on the bench
Also returning to the matchday squad for the visitors are James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with both Englishmen having missed the last couple of outings.
The likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Kostas Tsimikas are also available on the bench for Liverpool but January signing Ben Davies, who is yet to clock an appearance for his new colours, remains injured.
Here is how both sides lineup for the upcoming Premier League fixture:
Burnley FC XI
Norris, Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor, McNeil, Westwood, Cork, Brownhill, Gudmundsson, Wood
Liverpool FC XI
Alisson, A-Arnold, Phillips, R Williams, Robertson, Fabinho, Thiago, Wijnaldum, Salah, Mane, Firmino
