Confirmed Lineups: Liverpool vs Leicester City – Elliott replaces Fabinho

Jurgen Klopp rings in just one change to the Liverpool side that won away at Aston Villa last time out for the home outing against Leicester City.

Harvey Elliott comes into the starting XI to replace Fabinho who is not a part of the matchday squad on Thursday night for unknown reasons.

Unchanged backline for the hosts

There had been speculation that World Cup runner-up Ibrahima Konate, who recently returned to training after an extended break, could be in line to replace Joel Matip in the centre-back role.

Matip, however, retains his berth on the team sheet to feature alongside Virgil van Dijk in the heart of the Liverpool four-man defensive lineup.

Another start for Oxlade-Chamberlain

In the engine room for Liverpool, skipper Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara are joined by the teenage talent Harvey Elliott with Fabinho dropping out of the squad.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is handed yet another start to partner Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez in the attacking third with the latter operating in the No.9 role.
