Alisson Becker returns to Liverpool FC’s starting XI after a number of weeks on the sideline, as Jurgen Klopp’s men get ready to face Sheffield United at Anfield.
The Brazillian goalkeeper had been missing from action ever since the Reds’ 2-0 win over Chelsea last month, with the 27-year old sustaining a shoulder injury in training. Adrian had been Alisson’s replacement between the sticks, however, his recent run of form had Liverpool FC supporters longing to see their first-choice goalie back on the pitch.
Joel Matip remains sidelined for the fixture against Chris Wilder’s side, and Joe Gomez is once again partnered at centre-back by Fabinho, which allows Klopp to hand Diogo Jota his first Premier League start since his move to Anfield this summer.
Jordan Henderson also features in the XI, after being on the bench for the Ajax game mid-week in the Champions League, and Wijnaldum returns as well after being benched for last week’s draw at Goodison Park.
