19-year-old starlet Rhys Williams in incuded in the XI for the Merseyside Reds as Jurgen Klopp’s men host Tottenham Hotspurs at Anfield in a game billed to to the highlight of the mid-week fixture list of the Premier League.
Joel Matip’s back spasm sidelines the Cameroonian international from lining up against Spurs alongsidde Fabinho, forcing Klopp to field Williams as his second centre-back for tonight’s game.
Matip’s absence remains the sole change from last weekend’s draw away at Fulham, but Naby Keita is present on the bench after his injury issues seemingly eased ahead of a congested scheduling for Liverpool FC.
The usual front trio of Mohammad Salah, Sadio Mane,and Roberto Firmino features on the team sheet, and so does Curtis Jones, who has had much of an extension in first-team involvement of late for the defending champions.
