Former Liverpool and England forward Emile Heskey has called upon Jurgen Klopp to use the ongoing transfer window to bring in a fresh face for his first-team ranks.
Liverpool have been minor players in the transfer market so far this summer with the only purchase being of the young French defender Ibrahima Konate who has made the move to Anfield from RB Leipzig.

Rivals clubs in the Premier League, meanwhile, have been thrifty in their summer spending as the defending champions Manchester City landed Jack Grealish and Chelsea set to sign Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku with both deals running north of a £100 million transfer fees.
Despite being linked with some of the most in-demand names in the market including Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez and Real Madrid outcast Isco, Liverpool are yet to table a formal offer for either of the top names on their shopping list for this summer.
The Merseysiders have been urged by a former Anfield fan-favourite in Emile Heskey, according to reports from The Express, to sign a similar big-name player to build their credentials for reclaiming Premier League glory.
“They’ll be wanting to push back up to who wins the league.”
“With what Man City have done they’re kind of out there on their own and Chelsea have done with signing Lukaku that’s a statement.
“I think Liverpool could do with getting one.”
