Liverpool put four goals past arch city rivals Everton to claim a memorable win at Goodison Park in the midweek league action for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

The visitors had an early chance inside the opening two minutes through centre-back Joel Matip whose header from a corner kick went wide off the target.
Skipper Jordan Henderson brought the breakthrough soon after with the midfield man netting home the opener in a delightful manner from a cut-back by Andy Robertson.
Henderson then turned provider for Mohamed Salah who slotted his effort past Everton goalie Pickford to double the advantage for the Reds.
Everton halved the deficit before halftime with Gray going through on goal and finding the back of the net to put his side back into the derby contest.
Liverpool restored the two-goal lead soon into the second period with Salah making the most of Seamus Coleman’s loose touch on the ball to race into the attacking half and make it a brace for himself.
The fourth and final goal of the evening came from the in-form Diogo Jota who took a clever turn inside the box and dispatched his finish with Jurgen Klopp’s side racing past the finish line in a thumping manner.
