Liverpool make the travels to Goodison Park on Saturday for the season’s first and much-awaited Merseyside derby clash against city rivals Everton.
Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders seemed to have got their campaign back on track after a shaky start with two wins on the trot and head into the derby contest on the back of a thrilling win over Newcastle United.
A 98th-minute winner from substitute Fabio Carvalho secured the three points on home turf for Liverpool midweek against the Magpies with Klopp hopeful that his players can maintain the tempo when taking on Everton.
Frank Lampard’s Merseyside Blues still remain winless from five Premier League games this term and it is now or never for a return to much-needed winning ways at Goodison.
