Jurgen Klopp’s passion and honesty as a football manager make the German stand out amongst the sport’s great figures, said ex-Southampton president Ralph Krueger in a recent interview, as quoted by the Goal.
The Liverpool FC boss has enjoyed a trophy-laden stint in the game since the last two decades, winning plaudits for his splendid work at German clubs Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, before coming to Anfield in 2015, and the Merseyside Reds witnessing a brilliant run of results over the past couple of years has only made Klopp’s name grow bigger in world football.
He has certainly played a major role in transforming Liverpool FC from a mere mid-table side five years ago to Champions of England, ending the club’s 30-year-long barren run in search of league silverware last season.
And Krueger was quite magnanimous in his praise for the Liverpool FC manager, with the current head coach of NHL side Buffalo Sabres adding that Klopp’s personality traits make him one of the greatest coaches across all sports.
“I am most impressed by his honest culture. Players have a say with him, he doesn’t work with pressure or fear. Jurgen leads with love and honesty. In addition, there is a very clear plan behind the emotionality and passion, a very clear structure.
“And Jurgen also works in such a way that he wants to keep learning personally. For me, he is one of the greatest coaches at the moment – in all sports.”
Ever since guiding the Anfield giants to Champions League and Premier League glory in successive seasons, praise from all corners of the world has flowed in at regular for Klopp’s long-lasting mark as the Reds boss, all within a relatively shorter span of time.
