Fabrizio Romano has sounded out a big claim as he says Liverpool will push for Jude Bellingham transfer come next summer’s window.
The Borussia Dortmund midfield talent has been a top name on the shopping list for Jurgen Klopp with the German coach keen to make an approach for one of the most promising players in world football.
Jurgen Klopp’s interest in the England international starlet, however, is set to be challenged by European champions Real Madrid who are also eyeing up Bellingham in a mega-money move in the forthcoming transfer windows.
Dortmund appear likely to retain their in-demand midfield maestro beyond the summer after sanctioning the departure of talisman Erling Haaland to Premier League holders Manchester City earlier this year.
In an interview with the German news outlet Wett Freunde, Romano issued a backing for Liverpool to put themselves right in the mix for Bellingham next summer when Dortmund are ready to entertain offers for the English starlet.
“I think Jude Bellingham will stay at Borussia Dortmund this summer. I have no doubts about that,” began Romano. “Dortmund are convinced that the player will stay and he is ready to stay. I don’t see any problems between the two parties.
“But I’m sure Liverpool will enter the race for Jude Bellingham next summer.”
“Let’s wait and see what Borussia Dortmund plans to do next summer.
“But Liverpool will be in the race for him. And not just Liverpool. Because all the top clubs, not only from England, but also from Spain, are monitoring the situation around Jude Bellingham. I’m sure when the moment comes, Liverpool will be there.”
