Fiorentina are reportedly eyeing up a move for Liverpool’s Divock Origi as a replacement signing to provide cover for the in-demand Dusan Vlahovic.
There has been much speculation doing the rounds over the long-term future of Vlahovic in the Fiorentina shirt with North London giants Arsenal keeping close tabs on the Serbian star forward.
According to reports from the Italian news outlet Tuttosport ( via The Liverpool Echo), it is claimed that should Vlahovic call it quits at the Artemio Franchi Stadium before the close of the January transfer window, Fiorentina will mull over making contact with Liverpool for Origi’s signature.
Origi has served as a bit part player at Anfield over the last couple of seasons and his lack of regular game time could convince the Belgium international in asking for a move elsewhere with no shortage of interest in the striker’s services.
Jurgen Klopp will be reluctant on parting ways with his player on the back of the Liverpool manager losing his star pairing of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to the Africa Cup of Nations during the ongoing fixture list.
